These earrings consist of different handmade beads bound together by natural silk string, just like a traditional pearl necklace. This makes the earring able to move and turn in every link. The gold discs are hollow and made in oxydised silver with a sheet of 18k gold soldered on top. The black discs are handmade horn beads.
Because of these materials the earring is very light to wear. You can choose between different colours of silk thread, which will show in between every link.

This collection takes a starting point in horn as a material and how our use of this material has changed over time. Both through a bigger perspective where most horn today is an unused byproduct of our meat production, but also through a material focused perspective, which is about working with the qualities of the horn and showing that horn can be valuable and unique.
